CAT5 Builders was contracted to design, engineer, and fabricate a new 32,500 sq. ft., two‑story commercial structure located on Centerline Road in Christiansted. This project holds particular significance for the community, as it replaces the former H&H Tire building that was tragically lost to fire in 2016. The new facility was constructed directly on the existing slab, requiring precise engineering and coordination to ensure compatibility with the original foundation.
All major structural components—including wall panels, floor trusses, and roof trusses—were fabricated in CAT5 Builders’ Frederiksted facility. Once completed, the full component package was delivered to the site and installed by Creative Metal Works, allowing for an efficient and streamlined construction process.
The building’s structural system was engineered to provide enhanced fire resistance and a wind rating of 220 mph sustained winds, offering long‑term resilience and safety for future occupants. CAT5 Builders’ integrated design‑build approach ensured that the new structure not only met modern performance standards but also restored a vital commercial presence to the Centerline corridor.
