CAT5 Builders partnered with Ruff Start, a local dog rescue organization on St. Croix and one of the charities we proudly support, to help bring their new 1,900 sq. ft. open‑air kennel to life. This project was a true community effort centered on expanding Ruff Start’s capacity to care for animals in need.
CAT5 Builders donated all design and engineering services, ensuring the structure was safe, functional, and tailored to the rescue’s operational needs. Once the plans were complete, fabrication and installation were carried out by Ruff Start’s dedicated volunteers in our Frederiksted manufacturing facility, with our team providing ongoing technical guidance and oversight throughout the build. In addition to our design contribution, CAT5 Builders helped stretch the organization’s budget by connecting Ruff Start with our trusted local suppliers. Through these partnerships, companies such as Sherwin Williams and Rooftops generously donated materials, allowing the rescue to maximize resources and complete the project with high‑quality finishes. This kennel stands as a testament to what local collaboration can achieve.
